Engineers Arms Golf SocietyThe golf society enters its eighth year in 2009 and from small beginnings now boasts 35+ active members. We try to run the society as informal as possible and welcome players and guests of all abilities. With six outings a year and averaging 24 players per outing itŐs a great way to meet new people. Each day is run not only for individual competition but also with pairs or team events so that as many people are involved as possible, and with a nod to the light hearted side of things. Our rule of thumb is that all our events start and end at the Engineers and so we always hold the days prize giving and meal back at the pub and this leads to the social side of what we aim to do. Our diary of events is posted in the pub and details of the forthcoming event is updated regularly, so if you fancy a good days golf and a bit of a laugh, keep an eye out for the bulletins or contact one of the organisers, as shown below.
